    Well that will vary depending on height, weight, age, activity level. Do you think all women should eat the same amount per day?

    I maintain my weight on 1800 calories per day as a lightly active ,5'4" women in the 140lb range who is 30 years old.

    Depends on age, weight, height and activity level. I personally aim for 1500 on average a day, I'm 164cm and 82.5kg, 37 years old and lightly active. I eat back some exercise calories when I've gone for a run or something that day.

    As everyone said above, depends on their stats.

    I'm 5'2", 25 years old. I've got some health issues going right now, so won't post my weight - just know I'm tiny af and working on it. I maintain around 1500 while lightly active.
  • I've been told 1200 minimum in order to get proper nutrients etc. I'm 5', about 147 lbs, 30 yrs, and set to lose 0.5 a week. Mfp has me set at 1380 and I aim for about 1550 on rest days (light walking, general life activities etc) and 1650 on workout days. I've been losing between 1 and 2 lbs a week lately which is fine because I still have a bit to go.

    How many calories a women should eat depends on the woman. I can't answer that.
    I attempt to eat 1210, but often miss it by a couple hundred over or under. It usually averages out by the end of the week. I typically burn about 400 calories a day walking. Assuming everything is perfectly calculated I should lose 3 lbs a week. My average over time is pretty close. TrendWeight says I'm losing 2.8 lbs/week. I'm 5'3", 256 lbs, 35 y/o.

    I am 5'6" and maintain in the upper 140s on 2300ish calories per day.

    A woman should eat the number of calories she needs to accomplish her goals, which can vary wildly: We all have different heights, weights. ages, activity levels and goals (like gain, maintain, or lose weight).

    I'm 60 years old, 5'5", sedentary outside of intentional exercise. I lost 60+ pounds in a bit under a year (from 183 pounds to 120 pounds), most of it eating around 1400-1600 net calories (i.e., I ate back my exercise calories on top of that, which would be another 200-some to 300-some most days). I maintain at something in the low 2000s. This is many more calories than most of the calorie needs calculators estimate that I would need, but experience trumps calculators.

    Set your MFP profile based on your personal details & goals, follow that for several weeks, and then adjust your calorie goal up or down as needed, based on those few weeks' results, to achieve whatever your goals are, in a healthy way.

    Asking that question without some context (age, weight, activity level, etc.) is like asking "how long is a piece of string?"

    I'm 164 cm 53kg(116 pounds) and maintain my weight on 1900 calories. I workout 5 times a week mostly weightlifting with 2 days of cardio.

    I am 5'4 105ish maintain 2100-2600 (I vary day to day by hunger) with 4-5 days a week exercise, but otherwise sedentary.

    I'm 36 years old, 5 ft. 4 in., 179 lbs. I workout 5 days per week burning between 250-500 calories per workout. My trainer has me eating 1800-2000 per day on a high protein, lower carb diet. It definitely depends on the person.
