Increasing Metabolism

Hi all!
So I'm looking for some advice. I recently lost about 40 pounds (in the last year) and I definitely made some mistakes that I believe I'm paying for now. I restricted my calorie intake to <1000 calories per day. And now I think my metabolism is still suffering. I can't eat over 1000 calories without packing on weight and bloating tremendously. I've been weight training in addition to my cardio in order to lose a bit more weight. But I'm stuck or gaining. Any tips on increasing my metabolism? Please help!
