Hello. I'm Jane and I am new to MFP and have decided to get healthier. I am not new to dieting and need some support from some like minded people. I am 240lbs and I don't like what I see. If anyone has any tips or advice or just want to show support feel free to add me!

Log everything. People who record what they eat have a much higher success rate.
Aim for sustainable changes. If you are dieting (implying an end point) you aren't focusing on learning how to eat to keep at a healthy weight.
I recommend against having "cheat days" as I feel it promotes the dieting mindset. I am not saying you have to always be under your calorie goal. You can see from my diary that I have a number of days I ate a lot. But I log all of it and I make informed decisions about what I eat.
I wish you the best of luck reaching your goals.2
