Am I the only person that cannot search for foods on the Database from my mobile. As a premium subscriber I kind of think this should come with the subscription.

What happens when you click "ADD FOOD?"

I'm only given the option to add foods I have recently or frequently added to my diary. I can't add new foods if I have never added them to my diary from my desk top.

Ie I can't search the MFP database.

I don't have any problems searching from my phone. It's sometimes SLOW, but I can still search. I do need to be connected to a WiFi, though--but I think that has to do with my phone settings, not anything on the MFP side.

@tmoneyag99 - that is so odd. For me, if I add food and put something in that I've never had, nothing shows up until I press search (unlike recent foods, which do populate). How annoying!

Verify your mobile device is connected to the internet either through your cellular network provider or a wifi connection. In Add Food to Diary, type the name of a food item, then tap the search icon (magnifying glass) or "Search all MyFitnessPal foods for:" to search all of MFP.

Here is a screen capture of an older version of MFP on Android. I don't know what the search icon looks like on the iOS version.

From my mobile, I have to search for foods first, find them in the database and then I can add them.
