How are you measuring your calorie intake? When did you add lifting to your exercise plan?

It's most likely water retention as your muscles repair then (and a slight possibility that you gained a bit of muscle if you've never lifted before). You should start seeing losses again in the next couple weeks.

well that's doubtful based on your post... if you are 'always moving' and work out 3 x a week it is not very likely that your maintenance is 2100-2300 cals.

if you're hungry a lot, check you are eating enough fat, protein and fibre to keep you full.

I would agree with this. I am 5'9" and, as of this morning, 238 pounds. I am eating around 2000 calories and I am running a huge deficit. I would either double check how you are figuring calories or suspect water weight since you recently started lifting.

I also second the comment about protein and fiber. I have always had a big appetite but I eat mostly lean meats, veggies, and fresh fruit along with a reasonable amount of grains but avoid processed carbs and have no problem staying full. If I eat too many high glycemic carbs, I start getting really hungry.
