Hello,
I'm new to MFP. I am male in 30's. 186lbs 5'9''. I'm in college(career transition) and I think my sedentary life is making my cholesterol high since I started tracking it back in January and my plan is to get on a proper more balance diet and exercise to help me get more trim and just to be more fit in general plus I heard exercise will help lower cholesterol so I'm going to put it to the test.

I don't really want to loose weight but want to trade fat for muscles to have a more sculpt manly body and get rid of my flab abs. Any tips on how to get started on an exercise plan and keep motivated? aerobics versus more weightlifting...what balance should I be starting with.
