I am just wondering if Whey Protein will cause weight gain.
I do very minimal exercise walking 30 mins a day because of health problems

Any calorie surplus will cause weight gain.0

Only if you're eating enough of it to put you at a caloric surplus.
Protein powder is not some magical powder. It's merely a tool people to use to help reach their protein goal if they're having trouble doing so with just food.0 -
Whey Protein is not fattening unless that is all you eat and your are eating over your calorie limit.0

Protein has calories in it, so if you overeat, yes it will cause weight gain. If you calculate out the calorie value of what you consume, and it fits into your daily expenditure, go for it! I actually use protein powder as a meal supplement if I'm on the go.0
