Is it possible for your head to get smaller/narrower when you lose weight?

I know you lose weight from your chin (no more triple chin! hello cheek bones! goodbye neck fat), but what about around your head, where your hair is?

I was watching a video of myself today, and from the side, I looked slim, but from the back, you could tell I was big.

What do you think? Am I crazy?

Yes. Your head shrinks. Mrs has always insisted that I wear a helmet when I bicycle. My helmet was adjusted to fit me before I joined MFP. After losing 60+ lb, I dug the bike out of the garage and prepared to ride it. I had to make a substantial adjustment to tighten the helmet so that it wouldn't fall off my now small head.

My head is the biggest and fattest around, it's so weird.

No, you're not crazy. My overall head size has shrunk a bit - I've also had to adjust my cycling helmet (@JeromeBarry1, your wife is right to insist on a cycling helmet!) and the arms of my glasses no longer make indents in the side of my head - there's now a gap there instead :)

That was supposed to say ''I know you can lose weight from your face'' not chin.
