I measure out a serving size in grams according to the back of pkg. That way I eat those and the rest are put away. I typically eat raw, unsalted almonds, raw, unsalted walnuts. Since I began portioning them out I no longer have an issue of eating too many straight out of the bag.

Have you tried that? I know for me getting unsalted raw ones I eat far less and they taste great, like nuts not salt and oil.

This. I weigh my portion - usually 28g, and then put the rest away.

I find it hard to control myself too, so I generally buy the pre-portioned packaged ones if I want some.

My 7-11 sells the Blue Diamond brand ones with flavours such as Wasabi & Soy Sauce, so I just pick up one pack if I'd like some. That way, I can't go back into the cupboard for more.

    I have the same problem!

I either buy them pre-portioned, OR I buy in bulk and measure them out into little snack baggies immediately after purchase.

I was buying the 100 calorie packs. That helped a bit. Then I read they put maltodextrin on them. .... -______-

Now I just bought a big back of RAW NUTS. And weigh them accordingly, put them away before I start eating.

Count them out or pre-portion them into snack baggies or portioning containers. There's no stopping. I use walnuts on my salads and otherwise, keep only almonds on hand. They're just too darn good!
