there really are so many adjectives that apply here, i am at a loss to list them all. i cannot conceive of this. i've known people who did 50-mile and 100-mile races, but the idea of running 26 miles every day for a year??? whoa.

It sounds crazy to me, but I admire her dedication AND insanity.0

I wouldn't necessarily call it admirable. I can't imagine that year was well balanced in regards to the rest of her life. Maybe a little crazy, because that kind of demand on the body can take a lasting toll. Impressive for sure though.0

ETA: Wow and she had MS too. Shes a frigging trooper thats for sure. Cant believe she did it. If I would have seen this before she started I would have said that she would never make it. I would have been WRONG! Pretty amazing. Why isnt this in the mainstream news?0 -
she must be single, have no kids and no life outside of running and no job.
is she crazy, not if she doesn't have any of thee above
ETA
....this guy is admireable0 -
I can't honestly say it's admirable. I mean it's impressive, but I don't really see the point.
Well aside from her belief that it helped her MS. True or not that makes sense for her so I guess it's not crazy.
But that doesn't mean it's a goal other people should aspire to. Which is what I think of when I hear the word admirable.0 -
She had a goal. She achieved it. As long as she didn't damage her health, I'd go with admirable.0

If MS were a visible disability we'd have a new "your excuses are invalid" racing pic. Though this does walk the line between crazy and awesome.0

Considering that all marathons are kind of a celebration of the legendary Greek soldier who killed himself by running that distance, it doesn't seem like that could actually have been good for her body, right? I mean I know people that in great physical condition train for it and run marathons without dying, but still ....0
