Belly fat & chubb

I've been at this a while now, almost 25 lbs down. (YAY!) My body is getting toned at the same time as the weight-loss, which is great. HOWEVER, my belly fat does not appear to be shrinking at all! (And I have been measuring...) I know the stomach is one of the last things to go during this process, but does anyone have some good tips to help it along?

The bold is the important part. There's no such thing as spot reduction, whether by diet or exercise. Keep on keepin' on and it will come off in whatever manner your genetics dictate. There's no other way to "help it along".1 -
@SaritaWolf I too have been at it for a bit. Down 37lbs, dropped 6 pant sizes. That is all that is left is my belly fat and it makes me still feel fat even though I know I'm not. We just have to keep at it!!0

There is no helping it along.. You have to keep eating in a calorie deficit and exercising to burn fat but you can help your body out a little by starting to make body composition changes, through strength training.1

Patience helps a lot . Your experience of belly fat going last will likely not be different from anyone else. Even after you've reach your goal weight, the stomach might continue to shrink. Keep it going!2

Blah. Not what I wanted to hear, everyone. =P But tough love, right? I'll keep working!1

Yeah, I think that people do not understand how literal this phrase is --> stomach fat is often the last to go. It can be the lastlastlast area for many people.1

Better to know the truth than to labor under false expectations and be disappointed because it's not "working". We're all fighting the same battle.2 -

Unfortunately I got to agree with everybody else here. You going to lose it however your genetics determine it. I've lost 80 pounds I'm happy with everything else but I still got the belly and I know it's going to take awhile to lose it. Just keep on doing what you're doing and it'll happen eventually.0
