I went to a reception today and ate cheese, dried fruits cured meats, nuts, seeds, olives, crackers and pita chips (3000 cals worth) My stomach is gassy and super bloated. I have a black tie event tomorrow with a very tight dress and would like my flattish belly back. Thoughts on what to eat and drink -- or avoid-- in the next 24 hours? Drinking lemon cinnamon teas and slamming beanos right now.

If you want to lose water weight just watch your carbs and sodium and drink lots of water

Is Spanx an option given the short time frame? I would keep chugging the tea and doing some cardio in the morning. Avoid dairy, sodium, soda and carbs tomorrow.

I'm in to hear suggestions. Diuretics or eating very low carb (which seems to help you get rid of retained fluids) enters my mind first, but typically people are looking to be at their trimmest at the beach or at events that involve alcohol, and in both cases showing up partially dehydrated seems like a bad idea.

    This will pass.

I'd say drink a lot of water and focus on protein and fibrous veggies, keeping carbs and salt to a minimum, but it takes me at least a couple days to drop water weight, and your event is tomorrow :(. Go shopping for some shape wear tomorrow morning.
