I opened a kind of expensive bottle of Cotes du Rhone a couple of weeks ago that smelled like a foot. Thankfully it didn't taste anything like a foot, and the smell started to fade after it had been open a while, but initially I was getting all ready to go yell at my wine guy for selling me an expensive glass of gym sock.11

Something I really shouldn't have, an expired can of crab meat.
Note: I didn't realize the food was expired until giving the can another look. It tasted FOUL.0 -
Dined right at the docks of a fishery. The food was great, but that smell though... I could not get over it. The pelicans thought it was just fine.1

A really good aged Brick cheese can smell absolutely awful, but it tastes soooo good.1

Does it have a sweet like many fruits taste (besides funny smell)?0 -
bcaa powder. my tubs of aminocore key lime/cherry flavour have such a toe-jam aura i started stashing my workplace supply in the freezer instead of my desk. p.s. it works fine and tastes fine once you dilute it and/or get used to it. it's just the powder that's strong.
still working through my first stash of the stuff, so idek if this is just the brand or if it's common to the substance itself.0 -

Yeah, all my answers would be wine or cheese.1 -

It smells sweetly rotten. Kind of like when you walk by a dumpster on a hot day, but not quite as powerful. It was so offputting to me that I never tried it when I lived in Singapore, and now I'm glad I don't have to run into them in grocery stores here.2 -

Some of the stinky cheeses out there are potent. But I'm not sure I've ever found one that's smelled *bad* to me, just strange...0 -

Some time back I did get some cheese that smelled up the hallway in an apartment building. The guests loved it though!0 -

Kimchi. Fun to crack a jar of it open around people who don't eat that kind of stuff and watch their reactions.4

Maybe you just blocked out the horrible memory of the foul odour?2 -
Limburger. Smelled so bad I threw it out in my neighbour's trash can2

Very blue cheese.
I can smell mould miles away and find the smell repulsive, so trying to eat blue cheese was a disgusting and horrible experience. I only had a little bit, and never again if I can help it.
BTW - I can walk into a grocery store which has a stack of mandarin orange boxes in the fruit department, and know immediately that some of those oranges are mouldy and rotten. To me, that smell is so strong.1 -
Balut was the worst for me.
Legion Athletics Triumph multi vitamin are a close second. Horrible2 -

I bought some vegan cheese once. I thought, it must be expired but it wasn't. It smelled like a prank.
