    1000 a day, in two months I have lost 18 pounds. I'm 5'5, starting weight 192lbs.

I'm 5'8 and currently weigh 168. I've lost 20lb in 4 months and eat between 1400 and 1500 calories a day. I really would struggle to eat much lower than this as I find that I just get lethargic and angry - much better to have a slower loss and be happy. I know we all want to see the weight drop as quickly as possible but it didn't go on quickly. Just keep accurately logging and it will come off eventually.

5'8" woman, lost steadily for six months (189-144lbs) with MFP set on 1200, but usually eating less, while working out three days a week and a run every Sunday.

I'm 5'8", 269 pounds, and extremely sedentary. My calorie goal is 1730 to lose 1.5 pounds per week. I eat between 1000-1200 on weekdays and between 1500-2200 on weekends, so it averages out over the week. I'm actually losing between two and three pounds each week.

I'm 5'2 1/2", and eat between 1250-1350 most days. I rarely go under that range, occasionally I'll go a bit over. I've lost 24 pounds since March.

Why would you be eating so low?

OP if you aren't losing at the rate MFP predicts, eating at that level, I would first look at the accuracy of my logging without just lowering calories. Are you using a food scale? Logging everything?

I think the most common answer is to check my accuracy... I do use a food scale but if I'm very honest I probably don't track every bite or taste while cooking....
