I am a 25 year old male. I suffer from epilepsy, hypothyroidism. The medicine I take for epilepsy is called lamictal 400mg per day, the doctor says this isn't the reason for my fatigue or anything. My thyroid levels are normal, and I've been tested for hashimotos and found nothing was done by a specialist. All of my blood tests are normal, and all of my vitamin levels are in normal. Glucose, cholesterol, b12, vitamin d are all normal range. My blood pressure is above average but fine.

I originally was 284lbs. My body is odd, I can exercise, eat diet but yet I won't lose weight. I can keep the pattern, and a month or even 6 months later I start losing weight for a period. My diet or anything else hasn't changed. I just lost another 10 pounds. I am now 259lbs.

About 7 months after going from 284 to 272 I lost another 10lbs. Why does this happen? Nothing changes.

I haven't noticed any improvement in energy and I still run out of breath. I am often tired.

I eat semi healthy. I used to drink 5 sodas a day, but I have another medical issue I'm waiting to get tested for which is related to urinary tract. I thought it was UTI. But, anyway, I completely stopped sodas and stopped caffeine. No more cookies or anything. Just some slim milk and mostly water.

My diet consists of eggs, boiled chicken / hardboild eggs. Limited to one or two toasts a few times a week. Brown rice (limited) I eat cucumbers, bananas, and rest of the things. It's a boring diet, but whatever.

I still haven't noticed any improvement in energy. Correct, I don't exercise as much. But, I am always inside. I don't work at the moment. But, I don't get but like maybe 40 minutes of exercise per week which is cardio. Yet I still don't lose weight.

It just seems my body loses weight. When it does, I don't gain it back. What can it be? I've been tested for everything. They couldn't find anything wrong. I seen a nutritionist, she said I should eat more salads which I am slowly adding. I haven't noticed any weight loss yet. What is it? Help please.

It isn't just the weight loss I am concerned about. I also have no energy to do much. I'm constantly tired. I started forcing myself to spend two hours outside on a laptop each day. Nothing is helping. I tried meditating. I tried increasing exercising time more per week. Nothing works? What else can I do?

I seen an endrocologist or whatever a specialist of the endocrine system. He said everything was normal.

Are you tracking calories? If yes, how many are you consuming?

You may not be getting your vitamins and minerals and eating far too little calories.

Try logging everything you eat for a week. Report portions as accurately as you can. Weighing is best. Except for the cucumber, the foods you're eating are pretty calorie dense so you might be eating more than you think (and small changes to portion size would change the calories significantly - which could account for the alternating periods of losing and not-losing weight).

When you say you eat bananas and cucumbers, are those standing in for a wide variety of fruit and vegetables? Or are you literally just having bananas, cucumbers, eggs and chicken? Because if that's all you're eating, you're tired due to malnutrition.

My thyroid test and everything came back normal to but being I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism my endocrinologist just put me on levothyroxin and I've been on it for four days now and I feel a lot better! And my weight is coming down now it doesn't always show up in the bloodwork.

So you average 6 minutes of exercise a day. Try walking a lot more often, like a few minutes every hour. Movement creates energy, so avoid sitting for long periods.
Go to sleep by 10 pm, and also weigh everything you eat on a digital scale. :+1:

If I don't get some cardio at lunch time I am low energy for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Treadmills are great for when the weather prohibits outdoor walking but I would much rather do it outdoors. I live in Massachusetts and last winter forced myself to bundle up and walk every day at lunch time unless it was pouring rain. I'm really glad I did this.

I have knee issues, started at 20 minutes and worked up to 75 minutes plus hills.
