youth myfitnesspal?

My daughters would love to track their fitness and diet goals, but their ages don't allow them to build their own profile. Is there a reason why it is for 18 and up only? Would it be possible to include preteens and younger?

This would belong more in the suggestions sub-forum but I *think* there is an age restriction because all depending on a person's age, diet shouldn't be their worry....Say for example there was no age restriction and a 9 y-o signed up. Would it be right for them to try and figure out how many calories they needed and think that they need to lose weight, etc or would it be more sensible to let the 9 y-o be themself and let their parent worry about the child's health?0
