How to control food craving

I have been CRAVING for sweets these past few daysand wanting to snack more often. I've tried to eat some healthy alternatives like veggies or fruits when I badly want sweets but I just end up eating more! I mean, after I ate veggies I still want chocolates. I new that depriving myself will not make me happy so, I eat a few or handfuls of sweets but I'll end up over my calorie goals. I feel so bad, having headaches if I can't eat what I want. I think that maybe it was the day of the month for me but it wasn't. I have irregular cycle and I skipped last month (October). I'm not pregnant , we've tested it both blood and urine tests.. I read that weight loss is one of the factor why it happens. Lost almost 19lbs for two months.
