I think you really need to speak to a doctor about this. It could be anything - alopecia, stress related, diet related, fungal. Only a doctor can tell you and hopefully help.

Well, it doesn't matter if none of them are balding. Balding runs in the X-chromosomes [passed down from mother]. She may have gotten the genes from her parents, though. Also, balding is the recessive gene. While the family may not be balding, you may have been unfortunate enough to have the recessive genes present instead of dominant. If you remember the Punnett Squares, AA vs Aa vs aa. AA and Aa show the dominant genes, where Aa still carries the recessive genes down the genetic line, while getting aa would show you getting the recessive.

Unfortunately for you, Pixie is correct. This is very hard for young men (and older) to live with. My husband, and one son have this problem. My husband has tried everything, every product known to man, and it hasn't helped. If your doctor says there's nothing wrong, and your bloodwork comes back OK, you may have to face this challenge. Start looking around at guys with less hair. They still have everything--lovely partners, great jobs, etc.. Don't let it consume you. Good luck.

Also, I'd say buzz your head if the visual still bugs you. S'what my boss does, actually looks pretty good on him. I think it'd work pretty well with your facial structure, too.

If this has started due to a change in diet or significant weight loss then it is likely that your body is stressed and hair loss is common. It can go on for 4-6 months (for me it was over a year!). If this is the case taking biotin will help. The daily dosage is 2,500 mcg.

My brother did. He wound up getting a hair transplant. Now that he's older, he has hair when most men his age are losing theirs.

First have your blood checked for anaemia, hormones, etc.

I have the same problem and after spending loads on supplements with no success. I have come across a website - www.hairsentinel.com (sorry do not know how to link it). They mention Tinea Capitis (ringworm on scalp) which can cause hairloss. There are various or no symptoms (itchy scalp, redness ...). It suggests a doctor's prescription of antifungal pills and the use of special shampoo. Worth a try if you are desperate like me.

Check out www.hairsentinel.com. I have just gone the anti fungal route as a last resort.

Since you have apparently seen your doctor and he said you were fine, simply ignore it. I'm pretty much bald. My parents, grand parents and all of my uncles, but one, have full hair. I might add my dad is in his 80's with a full head of hair.

Going bald doesn't hurt, and saves money on shampoo so don't sweat it. I just wish my barber gave me half off since he only cuts half a head :-)

Are you in a deep calorie deficit or lost significant weight?
