Struggling to lose

Hi,
Im Hannah - a 20 year old from the UK. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and my weight has been steadily increasing since last November (when I was involved in a nasty car accident and was injured.) I used to be a really active person, but now I am not well enough to do what I used to love. I keep trying to lose weight but I am finding it really hard - even though I only want to lose between 10 and 12 kg. Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself, could really do with some support, as the support I currently use comes in the form of chocolate, ice cream etc... I also think I have a sugar addiction so need to deal with that as well...
Anyway, thanks for reading what is probably incoherent rambling...

Hi Hannah. Its hard going from active to sitting most of the day. I have the same problem. I went from an active job to an office job and immediately i noticed the weight piling on. I love this app/website though because it keeps you on top of your eating habits daily and also any exercise you do. I made a large note stating all the reasons why i wanted to lose weight and stuck it on my fridge. I took all the other crap on my fridge off it so it was the only thing so i noticed it more. Everyone has their main weakness ie chocolate or crisps etc. Think about what yours is and then cut it down. for example if you eat two bars of chocolate a day then limit yourself to one, this includes chocolate biscuits. Plus drink loads and loads of water. I read somewhere once that said you experience the same hunger feeling when you're thirsty than when you're actually hungry. So if i feel hungry and force myself to gulp down as much water as i can. Also if you're allowed to use these with your other tablets i would buy something like Adios which helps you along with your weight loss. I found i was going to the toilet more which made me lose more weight. Also give yourself a realistic time scale to lose the weight. Take it off slowly and try to change your actual eating pattern rather than a quick fix. Good luck Hannah! :)

Hi Hannah, you are making a good first step. I also have fibro, and I waited too long to start trying to lose weight. Just take it slow. Don't push yourself too hard, and don't give up if you fail a few times first. I wish you luck! :flowerforyou:
