Temptation is real

All the bad foods seem to appear at my grandmothers. It's a major struggle to stay focused and on track with everything in your face. Ugh

There are no 'bad' foods. Just be mindful of portion sizes and stay within your designated calorie target for your weight loss goals.

By "bad" foods do you mean "trigger" foods? I agree, it's hard to stay on track when you're surrounded by family favorites and social eating. You might try eating a small bulky meal before, and taking small portions of food that you don't see so often (like Grandma's special casserole), and passing up the foods you can get any tine (mashed potatoes, for instance). If you don't visit very often, relax a little on your calorie goal and eat a little less on other days, or shoot for maintenance that week. Good Luck!

Do you live with your grandmother or is this a weekly visit situation?
You can eat these foods just smaller portions. Eat food you like and fit it in your calorie goal every day. This is the way I go.
You could exercise more to get more calories. Have a smaller calorie deficit to have more calories.
You could talk to your grandmother about putting the food out of sight or buying more of the foods you prefer if you live together.
You could tell yourself these foods are your grandmothers and don't eat her food. Buy or bring your own food.

I totally get what you are saying! And yes, temptation is very real. That's why we have a word for it. ;)

    Stay strong!

Make the digital scale appear at your grandmother's and make the calories fit your budget.
