(Accidentally posted this in the wrong section, it's a repeat).
Need something else to focus on besides the news!
The New Year is right around the corner!
You've blasted past your old goals, set new ones and blasted past those. What new goals do you want to achieve, or even just strive toward?!!!!
Now that I completed this:
I'm thinking I could work up to this:
And maybe this by this time next year, God willing:
(VIDEO PRESS PLAY - turn down volume music has profanity).

So did the first step toward this goal - so excited!
I looked up a beginners calisthenics routine. I will try it in the next few days, God willing! Today I'll work on those Chinese splits and some core strength.0 -
FTP > 300 w0

Also, I'd like to do a Cascade Pass 5k next year. Ideally I'd love to make the Sahale Glacier Music Festival happen, but that's going to be a lot harder.
Note both of these are fictional events, so they'll materialize (become real) when I do them.0 -

What is this jargon?0 -
Bikes are powered vehicles. Instead of using gasoline or a battery, like a car, they use human muscle power. The source is different (iced cream and corn chips) but the concept is the same. Also, bikes are way more energy efficient than cars; that's kind of obvious because a car weighs 3,500 pounds and a bike weighs 17. So bikes require less power than cars.
Your functional power threshold (FTP) is your breaking point, the amount of power you can generate for an hour. I want to be able to put out an average of more than 300 watts for an hour next year.0 -
3 more lbs lost. purely for vanity. thats my goal.
after that its maintenance

Ok, I just watched the video @ThisOneTime posted. Seriously impressive.
There gets to be a certain level of comfort and familiarity with your own body that's just amazing. I don't care what you're doing, I've seen it in rock climbers, mountain bikers, parkour artists, etc; the key isn't what, it's how.0 -

The how really is the issue! I was considering hiring someone to train me, but thought I should watch some videos and do the suggested exercises to build up basic skills first. I've been doing some - pushups, splits, handstands, backbends, etc., but need to do more work to be able to attempt some of the stuff on the video.0 -

holy crap the push up woman at 4:38. WOW!!!! And amazing core strength for these women
I'll want to do my 30 minute 5k still since I only run when it's nice out. I'd like my curling game to improve by throwing consistent weights and not getting bored halfway through and having a great game completely fall apart.
Really though I think a fitness goal is to just run fast. Could a fitness goal be to not hurt when I do all these things?0 -

This is always, always the first thing.
Run fast. Like sprint fast or marathon fast?

At first I just wanted to run a 5k in under 30 minutes because a friend annoyed me. I only run when it's nice and was almost at the under 30 minutes but then lost interest...oh there's a goal not lose interest so quickly haha
So just I want to run quickly enough to get a 5k run over with quickly.
and I have lots of recurring injuries which keep being aggravated by my different sports, etc. so I'd love those to heal but I'm not sure when or how they will0 -
