Bad day

Yesterday was a bad food day for me. Amazing how fast the weight comes back . Today was supposed to be my cheat day as it is my daughters birthday. I've planned most of the food so that I can have it. Hope I stay strong.

    If you over indulged yesterday and saw an increase on the scale today, it is likely water weight which is temporary. In situations like this I find it helpful to maintain perspective and look at the numbers.

    Did you set up MFP with a goal to lose weight?
    What rate of loss did you select?

    If you selected the most common, 1 lb/week, that means you have a 500 cal deficit built into your daily goal and a 3,500 cal deficit built into your weekly goal.

    That means unless you exceeded your calories by over 3,500 yesterday, you would still be in a deficit for the week. And, unless you exceed again today by another 3,500 (also unlikely), you would only gain 1 lb of true fat.

    Anything else you are seeing this week is just water weight. Just take a deep breath, stick to your plan to enjoy your daughters birthday and get back on track as soon as you can.
