Water weight gain from exercise. Look at weight trends over a 4 week period.

I gained around 4lbs when I started. I shot up 3-4 lbs again when I started month 2 when the workouts changed. It was water retention and I lost it. I personally do Max30 and love it. Without time for a gym right now it gives me a great workout in a short period of time at home.

How much weight did you end up losing and did you go by the calories in the insanity plan

its going to be different for everyone. so what she lost may not be what you lose.

    I didn't show a loss until into week 6 I think.

I used the MFP set goal and ate most of my Garmin tracked calories (using a paired HRM). Lost 1lb per week on average as I set things up for. Everything is an estimate when it comes to calories, we are all slightly different. Real world results after 6-8 weeks of progress (particularly women who are more prone to hormonal fluctuations) are the thing to go by and use to tweak.

You've started a new exercise routine...training leads to water retention...you have to look at trends over time. One week provides basically zero data to really work with.
