Self love in the name of resistance! LGBTQ and POC welcome!!

So last week was terrible. I just couldn't believe the election results. But now I'm waking up a little bit, and have realized two things:

1) self-love is an act of rebellion. Last night, I decided to devote a few hours to pampering myself. I took a long hot bath, did a face mask, meditated, the whole jam. I'm pretty sure Trump would consider me like a -10 but after last night I just had this moment of, oh my god, this is the only body I have ans HE and everyone like him are why I tend to hate it so much. So to love my body and to honor it and treat it with respect and dignity IS an act of resistance.

2) I'm fired UP. I want to go to protests and engage in the resistance in my local community, first and foremost to protect those margianalized by the recent emboldening of racists and bigots. I cannot be bogged down by this battle with my body! So, with that said, being strong and healthy will both alleviate my inner battle and prepare me for the coming weeks, months and years. Not that I'm planning on getting in fights with anyone or anything, but I've been to a few of protests and they can be long and exhausting. I just want to be ready.

So add me and/or reply if you're with me!! Sending peace and love to my margianalized brothers, sisters and non-binary siblings ❤️❤️

    Dear Posters,

I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread. This discussion is welcome to continue in groups.

The forum guidelines include this item:

    15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums

Divisive topics and posts, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion.
