for the past 2-3 weeks in have been very inconsistent with my calorie logging on this app. I weighed 11 stone, 5.8 a month ago and now to say when i weighed myself i was a whopping 11 stone 11 lbs!!!
Now I have had 4- 5 days of overeating...but not been eating a huge amount over.
The night before I weight myself I ate a ton of salt (slight exaggeration).
Is there a way I can accurately check how much I REALLY weigh tomorrow morning??

You can put on 5 pounds in 4 weeks if you eat 17,500 calories more than you burn in those 4 weeks. That works out to an extra 625 calories/day on average. Did you overeat by that much?
If you're retaining water weight from eating a lot of salty food, you just need to drink lots of water for a few days then weigh yourself again after the water weight is gone. You can try weighing yourself tomorrow morning and some of it may be gone, but it'll likely take several days to lose all the water weight.2 -
You weigh what the scale says when you step on it.
Weight is not a static number. There is no "real" weight and "fake" weight unless you are using a broken scale or carrying rolls of quarters in your pockets. If you are bugged by weight gain, get back on track with good eating and move on.3 -
So you haven't weighed yourself for 4 weeks. You might want to do that more often.
I would think you would need more than one scale reading to see what your weight loss progress is. I would wait until next week and weigh again... and the week after that.
Be more consistant and accurate and get better results.2 -
^^agreed. More data yields better accuracy. Isolated data points without context can be very discouraging. If you can weigh daily without obsessing over the scale, do so first thing in the morning after using the restroom before drinking anything. And record that number in a trend app or spreadsheet where you can use a 7-day rolling average, 10-day low, etc. For women, a rolling average encompassing a menstrual cycle is probably the most accurate but it takes patience and the long view.5

There is no way to guarantee that your weight at any given point in time is your 'real' weight. You could be retaining fluid or dehydrated, you may have food in your gut or not... More data is definitely beneficial.
Case in point. Yesterday, the scale showed I had gained 6lbs. If I only weighed myself once a week, I'd be shattered and wondering what I did wrong. But because I weigh daily, first thing in the morning, after using the toilet, in the nude, I know from the day before I was 4lbs less than yesterday, and this morning I am 3lbs less than yesterday, so yesterday I was retaining fluid and its already going down.
A lot of people dislike weighing daily, and it can be very counterproductive for some people, but the downside of only weighing from time to time is you miss the ebbs and flows.5 -
I gained 2.4 pounds in just 1 week by not exercising but keeping my calories the same, and going over my calories twice. It's completely possible to gain 5 pounds in 4 weeks. A little of it is probably water weight, just like a little of my recent gain probably is too, but some is probably actual weight. Try to drink a lot of water and exercise to get rid of the water weight. Try to be consistent & log accurately for the next few weeks to get rid of any fat gain.1

That has happened to me so many times.
Now i weigh myself 4-5 rimmed a week. In the AM, before getting dressed, after using the br. At night i weigh 3-5 lbs more than in the morning. Just rethink your food choices. I Plan ahead. I Prepare my meals the day, or a couple of days, ahead & pack my cooler in the morning. I pack what ever i need until i return home. I usually can't finish everything i packed!! Lol.
Have you seen Gauge Girl Training on YouTube? She is a chemical engineer & food scientist. Very informative presentations!0 -
Absolutely! Some may be water but over that period you could easily have gained a significant portion of fat.0
