hi everyone, i suffer with hypothyroidism and only recently have seen good levels from the medication. so now i want to concentrate on my diet.
im known to crave sugary things when time of the month i.e biscuits are my downfall i will admit, previously ive gone for a more aggressive rate of loss of 1.5-2lbs loss per week, ive lost 5 stone to date and have 2.5 stone to my personal goal. i work out 3-4 times a week but struggle to do anymore due to work/college and mother of 2 toddlers, ( hectic)
i find that some nights im struggling to keep within calories,
do you think it would make sense to lower my rate of loss to 1lb per week given me that leeway?
i monitor exercise calories through my new h7 polar heart rate monitor. i use shape sense to figure out the net calres burnt from tht session and then add them on here, my favorite workouts are body combat and walking fast.
do you think i should eat those calories if i lower my loss?

given how much weight you have to lose, 1lb per week sounds about spot on.
and yes, if you are using MFPs calorie goal you should eat back exercise calories7 -
thank you for your response0

I concur with TavistockToad. Definitely slow down your rate of loss. You'll be much less hungry and have more energy for your workouts.
I'm glad to hear you have you thyroid sorted. I know that was giving you issues for quite some time.3 -
I HAD to lower my goal to 1# per week b/c I could not do 1200 cals a day. It made a huge difference in my ability to be successful staying within my calorie goal. MFP set me at 1510 and with exercise I can end up around 1700 (eating back half). So definitely worth changing to 1# a week.3

1 lb per week. I started in January and I'm down about 40 lbs. Its been so easy being able to eat all the foodz and still make progress every week.1

That's good to hear! That's where I need mine too. I feel terrible if it gets higher than that. So happy things have turned a corner for you.1 -
