Goal Setting

Hello! I have been with MFP for a few years but never really applied myself to it (it's like a slap in the face the first time you realize how many calories that trip to the fast food place REALLY costs you).
I have kind of meandered through my life for years, working really hard at jobs I hated just because my bills were getting paid. Earlier this year I was on a flight to Cleveland and I remember thinking to myself as the plane taxied down the runway, "Well, if this plane crashes at least I won't have to go to work next week."
That's when I decided to make some major changes in my life. The first was to start setting goals. My first goal was that I wanted to do a rim-to-rim Grand Canyon hike. I accomplished that goal in September weighing in at 280 pounds with a 35 pound pack on my back (my friends and I camped in the canyon two nights on the trip). My friends left me in the dust on the hiking, but I MADE IT!
My next goal was to quit my job and get a real estate license, which I am proud to say I just completed yesterday (so if you know anyone heading to the metro PHX area, let them know you've got a guy there, ha ha!).
My new goal is to get down to my "playing weight" of 240 pounds (I'm a naturally big guy to start with) and complete a 5k by the end of February. I've never been a runner so this may be hard for me, but I was never a "hiker" before I completed the Grand Canyon and I've never been a real estate agent until yesterday, but I completed those goals.
I am looking for like-minded people who are turning their outlook on life around and are interested in cheering others on as we complete our goals. I am very competitive with myself and I would like that extra kick in the pants from others if they are so inclined. Feel free to add me and lets crush our goals together.
Have a great day/week/month/life!!!!
