Weight loss and the menstrual cycle

Ok so before i started on my weight loss journey i tried for two years to get pregnant. In doing so i tracked my cycles pretty closely..... well ive been losing weight for like three months now just about three cycles..... one really interesting thing I've found out because i weigh myself everyday is i stall my weight from just before ovulation until a week before my menses..... i didnt know that before (its so far true in my case) i thought weight gain was during menses..... so i spent two years taking my basal body temp and ovulation tests and my cycles were all over the place just to find out that by taking my weight these past three months I was able to guess when my cycle was gonna start..... it was pretty neat in my opinion..... has anyone else noticed anything similar??

I generally stall before ovulation, or used to when I ovulated (I'm in peri and haven't had ovulation "signs" in probably a year so I don't know if it's happening at all). I didn't gain, but I just couldn't lose for that entire week.
Then again in the week just before my period, same thing.2 -
Yes apparently there's a stall before menses and a nice drop after, one of the perhaps "nicer" things around that time to look forward to0

I stall before ovulation, and lose it all during my period.0

Although I'm not yet sure about that nice drop after, maybe in a few more days will see what happens0

I wonder if this is why my scale has not moved much in 2 1/2 weeks. This weeks weigh in could be quite interesting for me.0

I serious i was so worried the first two months and then this month after it stalled and then started dropping again then a week later i stated my cycle i got excited i finally feel like my cycle is starting to be easier to read..... im totally gonna look forward to next months stall..... i honestly thought it was just me that it happened to..... and that it was just a coincidence..... im kinda happy it happens to others too..... thanks guys0

Same thing here. I researched it. It's because our bodies tend to hold more water around this time.0

Yes I know when I'm ovulating because I get so bloated and puffy and then "suddenly" a few days later everything gets back to normal...thank you Mother Nature0

I bloat up 2-3 days before my period starts and drop it the last day before it ends.0

I gain two pounds two days into my period, and stall around ovulation. I lose up till that second day. Too odd.0
