ok, it has been three weeks now since I started doing the p90X, I have come to the point where I don't feel like working out some days, I have to push myself to work out. I think maybe I have gotten used to the routine already. I need to stay motivated, does anyone have any suggestions?

I think maybe you need to try something else, I get bored very very quickly, which is why I don't do videos. I'd rather make my own stuff up, that will challenge me, this way i'm actually looking forward to it, other then dreading it. P90X isn't for everyone.

I seriously have the bordem issue also. I don't do videos either and now, I have a hard time getting to the gym because I hate routine. I am very active, love being outside and love things like hiking and diving and kayaking and so on. But I just can't do a number of those things during a normal work week. Things that are fun and interactive I will go back to time and time again. Would love some suggestions here.

Well after three weeks you get some variation with the "rest" week then you start a slightly different workout the next week. If that is not interesting enough you might want to mix it up a bit outside of P90X.

P90X is a very structured, intense routine. You do mix things up a bit with each phase, but it's still very structured. That isn't for some people. Personally, I prefer to mix up my workouts. If I don't stay interested, I don't want to do it. Exercise shouldn't feel like a chore - though there are days when even the most athletic people don't feel like working out.

I just started a new program from Beachbody called Turbo Fire and it is AMAZING!!!! I only workout to videos - period. And I have yet to get bored and quit. If I start to get bored, I just switch to something different. As long as you're moving, you're burning calories, and as long as you burn more calories than you consume, you're losing weight.

Mix it up and HAVE FUN!! Yes, it can be fun and something you actually look forward to doing.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and suggestions. Maybe I do need to find something else to do outside of p90X.
