How to lose weight in these areas

I'm currently dieting and doing well, I've lost 8 pounds so far although sometimes I weigh myself in the morning and some of those pounds are back so I really am not too sure what I actually lost.
Anyways I know you can't target where you want to lose weight, but what's the best way for my to lose extra fat around my chest and belly? Cardio? Eating wise, I'm eating clean, and always under my my calories.
I'm weight training, working on my arms, backs and legs and drinking a protein shake to build muscle and burn fat. But I actually want more fat to come off than to build muscle if that makes sense? any suggestions?

You answered your own question. You cannot target where you lose weight. Period. No special exercise or food will do it.
Losing fat is like trying to dry out a sponge, you can't dry a corner while the rest is still wet. Keep losing weight.8 -

Like some others said, you answered your own question. I wish I could lose the weight around my middle and my butt and eventually I will, but I can't "target" it.0

You can't spot reduce, and protein shakes don't 'burn fat' or 'build muscle', they are just a source of protein and an easy way to supplement your diet if necessary2

But protein builds muscle right? Is it not going to help with my weight training? To build muscle when i workout thus burning fat?0 -
