Best way to lose fat and gain muscles?

I do cardio and starting to do weights but I always carry fat in the front part of my stomach . Wondering what should I do to make it go away. Starting to eat healthier but sometimes I do get out of track .started 3 wks ago at 188 now 172 .

    But average over 6-8 weeks for weekly weight loss because this initial loss will be significantly water weight

    So eat fewer calories than you burn, get adequate protein to support cell repair

    Aim for 0.5-1lb loss per week

    Follow a decent preset progressive resistance programme

    Lose the fat

    Then adjust calorie intake to build muscle
