I was just wondering how you guys feel about putting whey protein in your shakes? I feel like I haven't been getting enough protein. Has it affected anyone's weight loss? Thanks for any input

How does adding calories to something help with weight loss?
but seriously, no, getting my protein from whey vs. other protein sources or ADDING protein to my diet has not helped with weight loss.0 -

how does one "feel" like they don't get enough protein? Are you experiencing any specific symptoms?0 -
More protein in your diet helps with muscle retention (or building muscle if you are bulking). You should get about a gram per pound of lean body mass. It also helps you hit your calorie goals because it is more satiating then carbohydrates.
If you can get enough protein with "regular" food, then go for it. If not, then supplement with protein shakes. They are delicious, fast, and easy. I have one on days I lift, and occasionally on other days if I am having a hard time hitting 110g for some reason.0 -
what kind of shake is it sans whey protein?

I generally dont each much meat and was lacking protein (usually less than half of the daily suggestion). Finding myself extremely sore after every workout was hindering each workout after that. I have a "shake" of whey protein Istrawberry banana) with orange juice after each workout now. Once I added the whey powder, I noticed that my recovery time after workouts was much quicker. I wasn't nearly as sore and could push a little harder during the next workout.0
