Hello everyone I'm looking for people who suffer with ibs/ibs-d/chrones/colitis and difestiv issue sufferers, anyone who has any of these I'm looking to make a group of us to share recipes and things that help us get through our days! Add me as a friend and we can discuss how to make this simple free and just support each other :) anyone out there add me and privately message me your story.

I have ibs and on the low fodmap diet I've been with ibs since march of 2016 almost a year and just tryin to find friends who make food that doesn't bother your ibs just looking to share with the group of us for recipes and maybe do a challenge of clean eating and workouts using the low fodmap and me sharing some workouts all free just looking for new ideas that's all

Just fyi she is recruiting for her fb group. There is no one diet that help with crohn's (not chrones) and ulcerative colitis. Everyone is different btw. Also ibs and ibd may have some similar symptoms but they are completely different beasts and you having ibs doesn't put you in the position to know what ibd is like.
  • Just an fyi, no actually I don't care if people follow me on facebook! I have helped many people with ibs, currently helping someone with chrones disease and ulcers. We all use the FODMAP diet! Are you aware of this diet? Its actually a diet that helps a lot of people when they stick to it. There is nothing wrong with trying to find people to exchange recipes with and create a group! But thanks for attacking my post!

Again it's crohn's not chrones and yes I am aware of fodmaps and again it is not a cure all.. Why don't you help people in the forums instead of a fb page.

What training and education do you have on chronic autoimmune diseases? I'd be weary of offering nutritional information without proper experience and no having ibs does not make you an expert in ibd. The fact that you consistently are misspelling crohn's is not a good sign as anyone who knows anything about the disease would know it's proper name.
  • I am not offering advise by any means, I was simply looking to share recipes. My best friend has crohn's and has had it for many years along with a woman I just met. We are all doing the low fodmap diet and it works well for us. It was asked of me to try to make a group of people that suffer as well for just SIMPLE RECIPES!!!!!!!! that is all thank you! Totally separate from my facebook page!

Why are you still on the low fodmap diet? It's not suppose to be permanent.

Yup that's what my dietitian and all the literature says

as mentioned above there is not one diet that makes a difference. I have Crohns and i can basically eat anything i want. How it makes me feel is another story.

I have UC and have done the fodmap with the help of a qualified dietician. It's only supposed to be done for 4-6 weeks before you start adding things back to identify what,if any, foods MIGHT be a trigger. It (indeed any diet)is not a "cure " for ibd though some may find it helps to alleviate symptoms. IBD - ie crohn's and ulcerative colitis- is an autoimmune disease which causes inflammation. Eliminating high fodmap foods will not heal an inflamed gut. Also from what I can gather, when people say clean eating they mean whole grains etc which frankly would land me in hospital.

But having said all that, I'm always interested to hear about gut friendly recipes which others have found helpful
