I made a post recently that was SUPPOSED to be encouraging, about not letting it get you down if someone calls you fat. However, I think I did a poor job with the wording and a lot of people took it the wrong way. They seemed to think I was saying it was okay to call people fat, and many suggested that instead of telling people to be okay with being called fat, I should tell people not to call others fat.

I kind of thought it went without saying not to call others fat, because that's you know, common courtesy. But apparently I have to make a post telling people not to do it. Otherwise, I'm encouraging bullying.

So, don't call people fat. It's rude to comment on other people's bodies (it's really none of your business unless they ask), and it could hurt their feelings.

First, I have never called anyone fat. Yes it is rude and there is no justification and it is nothing better than using racist terms= toward people in my opinion.

That being said, since having put on weight, I have never been called fat but there are three people in my circle of friends at Church who sent emails to me about different weight loss pills dropping a hint without actually saying anything. It did not offend me because it was done with good intent.

Now with the weight I have already lost, I am closer to being out of the overweight category than all three of those who sent the emails and they are now asking what I am doing to have lost so much weight. I simply tell the facts, "There is only one way to lose weight, to burn more calories than you consume."
