Hi Friends!
Please join my new group, 100 days of losing it.
I will turn 31 on Saturday, and my life is not at ALL where I want it to be.
My boyfriend of over a year just broke up with me... Actually he didn't even have the guts to do that... He has just decided to Ghost me like a teenager instead of being a grown up and telling me it was over.
I'm not married, I don't have any kids, and everything has just been kind of blah lately.
I'm tired of being sad and feeling unattractive. I'm tired of worring every time I fly or go to an amusement park that I might not fit. I'm tired of being tired after climbing a mere 2 or 3 flights of stairs.
I need to take control of my life, and start doing thing that I can control to be in charge of my own happiness.
I am pretty overweight... To the point that I don't even like going to the doctor because I always feel horrible when I see the number on the scale and I don't know how things got that bad, will starve myself for a few weeks, not see any results, say screw it, and eat even worse because I'm not seeing any results anyways.
With the holidays coming up... yes I am going to try to watch the food, but feel like if I have one thing at a time to really focus on it might help get me committed. I've decided to focus on getting at least 30 minutes of exercise in for at least 100 days in a row... I'll be checking it off on a countdown calendar and could use all the help and support that I can.
Please join the group, we can check in with each other, encourage & support each other, share our goals, our victories, defeats & recipes!
Who is with me?
Time to take control each day at a time!.
Thanks!
-Jenny

That sounds like a great plan. You can do this.0

You can do it. The one thing I suggest in regards to eating - do not starve yourself! Your body goes into storage mode hanging onto everything. Make small changes in your diet and you will see results.0

You can do it. We all can! Just gotta focus on the goal! And by the way getting winded going up flights of stairs happens to everybody! Even when I played soccer in college I would get winded at the top of the stairs lol0

I'm with you jr1985. Losing weight can be pretty daunting at times but with help from all your MFP friends you can do it.0

You have set a very ambitious goal and it sounds very catchy. I suggest you set yourself up for success by outlining do-able, achievable goals. You are right to focus on small goals, one at a time. You don't need to do vigorous exercise everyday, and if you're not used to exercise, you could over-tire yourself quickly. Everyone needs some rest days, so I encourage you to plan some lighter days, like 30 min of walking. Dedicated exercise 3 times a week would be fantastic. Logging every day would be a super goal too. Just some thoughts to consider.0

I'm sorry about your boyfriend, but you're better than that. Doing this for yourself is the only way it'll work. I'll be your friend! I would love to encourage you0
