!
4 years ago I got diagnosed with endocarditis. I had been an idiot I knew something was wrong but I had just got accepted into the school I wanted and was pushing myself through it daily trying to maintain and be normal for once.
Needless to say I did alot of damage. The infection spread and my heart was damaged hugely.
To sum my story up as nicely as I can, It got so bad I couldn't even bathe myself. Couldn't even get to the bathroom at the worst parts. I should have died. I easily could have died. Was even told i was going to die at one point.
Fast forward a few years and 2 surgeries later and I was doing alot beter thn the doctors thought I could. I got cocky and tried to exercise to soon, Ended up having a stroke and ended up back at the bottom, With brain damage and a bad heart. I even had pcos. I was only 20 years old. Life felt so unfair.
I gave up on myself for a while. Put on alot of weight and just sort of...got by in life.
Today however, Im happy to announce about my last 6 months:
-I have lost 65 pounds as of today (Doctor just confirmed) 230 pounds down to 165- still lots to lose
-My blood levels are all in the healthy range
- My heart rate is NORMAL thats huge XD
-Im actually working on going back to school finally
- I have quit smoking after smoking more years of my life thn not smoking
Remember I said I couldnt even get self to my bathroom? Today I walked 10 miles in one walk, And then climbed to the top of the highest building in the city.

I have goals in life again. I feel safe making plans in the future for the first time in years, Without fear Im not going to be here. I no longer feel the stress of trying to prove myself to anyone. I am a badass. Let's be badasses together! ^_^

Outstanding work! May others be inspired by your indomitable spirit and perseverance!
I've done considerable research on cancer survivors and was initially shocked to find a disproportionate number of elite level athletes, academics, and professionals who were diagnosed early in life. Not particularly surprising as this event experienced early on served as a potent reminder of how great and short the gift of life.2 -
Way to go! Congratulations! You have overcome so much and absolutely transformed yourself in the process. Keep it up! The results are worth it (and you are looking great).1
