Knee Injury

I was using the machine at the gym that you put your feet under the pad and lift the weight up with your legs (forget the name of it). During this I noticed my left knee suddenly hurt and I looked down to see I had accidentally placed it further to the left than I intended so form is likely what caused this injury but I'm not sure what type of injury it is and how long I need to rest? My inner knee hurts when I sit or stand up from sitting position. Any ideas?

I don't have insurance so I can't just take a trip to the Dr tomorrow unfortunately.

rest ice, etc. see how it is in a few days. and dont use that machine. i think its called a leg extension. Its a knee killer.
