Stomach ulcers, diet and exercise.

I've been sick for two weeks, went to the doctor and he thinks a stomach ulcer is forming. It's not completely formed yet, so I still have a chance at healing it completely I think.
I've been advised to stay away from spicy food. I'm just wondering, would it be detrimental to it's healing if I'm in a calorie deficit? Because of the slight hunger sometimes? Does hunger influence stomach acid?
Also, can I do heavy lifting while healing from it? I could always skip abs, but a lot of exercises demand contracting your core muscles for proper form, even when they aren't ab exercises.

You should ask your doctor.4

Please consider asking your regular doctor to refer you to a gastroenterologist. This type of specialist can do an upper GI endoscopy. That's the best way to diagnose whether you have an ulcer or some other GI issue. From there, the specialist doctor can work with your regular doctor to develop an appropriate diet and exercise plan.0

When I had an ulcer, pain would occur when my stomach was empty. Keeping a small amount of food in my stomach kept the pain away. In fact, pain that disappears with eating is a classic ulcer symptom.1

They think it's a Duodenal Ulcer forming. I was going to get a endoscopy if the symptoms didn't improve with medication, but they did.
My pain is unusual however. I have it above the bladder in my colon, and in my lower back where my kidneys are, which is exactly, ironically, where I usually get PMS pain too. Lol. They think that's because of the location of the ulcer, not sure how or why that matters but yeah. I still have that pain frequently, it comes and goes, but the insane heartburn/nausea/bloating is much better.
There's only one doctor where I live, I've seen him like 5 times in the last 2 weeks. Everytime I've been rolling around on his floor in pain (not really, but you get the idea) and so I forgot to ask him about the exercise. I don't have a medical aid and the cost of his appointments come out of my pocket, which is feeling rather empty now, which is why I was hoping someone here might have some past experiences with it.0
