A hater? You mean someone that takes pleasure from trying to knock you down? Ignore them. It stops being fun for them when you don't react.6

Shrug your shoulders say meh and walk away. why give them an audience or stoop to their level. It's more annoying for them if they get no reaction3

*eyebrow raise*
...that's it....1 -
I let 'em hate. IMO, the less you show it bothers you, the more pissed of they get. It then becomes a big problem for them to deal with and not you.

You need to add in licking their face.4 -

Oooh good thinking!
I'd find that endearing.....I have issues...3 -
On the forums? Ignore. Real life? Case by case basis...1

Hater - Another buzz word, it all depends on your point of view.0

What's a hater?0

Ignore and or laugh at0
-
Depends on who it is.
Someone I don't know? Roll my eyes and walk away.
Someone I have to deal with like family? I'll knock the down a peg or two.0 -
haters validate that you are big deal.. why do anything?1

Context is really important. If it's someone on an online community, that's one thing. If it's a real life, face to face issue, that could get a bit more complicated.
Online, I'l usually just ignore troublesome people until they go away, or a moderator handle the situation. Once or twice I'd just repeatedly tell them to please not cry/don't sob/etc...they went away after a few lol.
It isn't worth getting worked up over.1 -
Two things
What other people think of me is none of my business.
In my younger days, I got even with a couple of people for imagined infractions by collecting magazine subscription cards and filling them all out in their name. One guy I probably mailed in 200 different magazines. The postman must have needed a hand truck. :-)3 -
Tell him/her if they want a fight stick there head up their butt and fight for air2
-
Ignore them and keep doing what you know is right...eventually your actions will prove them wrong2
-
I've learned not to react. They get bored and move on. Plus when they see they can't effect you, it usually really bothers them.0
-
Once you realize the hating is a reflection about how they feel about themselves you can just not react to it at all.1
-
Like the others said, ignore. And be successful at whatever you good at, then you don't have time to look at them.4
-
I find that the term "hater" gets very broadly applied. So for me, it would depend on the person and/or situation.1

I find it difficult to hold back a laugh at their absurdity, so I let it out and move on.0

I like to believe I don't have any haters.0
