Fasted cardio for women

Yay or nay? I watched a BBC documentary that tested on the effects of fasted cardio for men and women and they concluded that it's beneficial for fat loss for men but for women, it's best they eat something prior to working out. I forget the exact details. Anyone have personal experience of it working for them? I'm just scared that I'll lose muscle by training fasted. Early morning cardio before a meal suitsny lifestyle though I need a good meal in me an hour or 2 before lifting

It's person preference. Meal timing is not very relevant. If you like working out fasted go ahead. If you prefer eating beforehand do that.2

Do what feels best. This is a tiny detail that will not matter in the end.2

^^This.
I always eat something small before a morning workout because I find my energy a bit lacking if I don't. It doesn't do any magical extra calorie burning by itself, though.0 -
Two things I dislike are cardio and being hungry. I'll pass, but if someone else thinks it's awesome, then go them!1

I pass out because my blood sugar crashes if I don't eat. But that's my personal experience. It all comes down to preference.0

I'd throw up anything if I ate before I ran. It's not really been a problem for me.
I think this all comes down to personal preference.

I would faint. I usually have a small banana and 2 boiled eggs.0

I work out in the morning two days a week (fasted, except for my coffee with half and half) and in the evening 1-2 days per week (about two hours after dinner). I prefer the fasted workouts (I always do a combo of cardio and strength). I feel stronger and more energetic and have an easier time getting through my morning gym days. I don't know if it is because after dinner I'm sluggish due to digestion competing for resources, or if I'm just tired by the end of the day and having eaten is coincidental.
I really think it is a matter of personal preference. Try both, see what feels best to you.0 -
As the rest have said , it's preference. I find the best time for me to workout is before breakfast. I can usually do HIIT or strength training best before eating a thing, when trying to do it even 2-3 hs after a meal I get really bad cramps in my side.0

Fasted vs non fasted won't make a significant difference on total changes in fat stores assuming no differences to diet and training performance.
Best to go with what works best for you personally as far as performance and preference.
