Back to Basics

So over the past 5 years, I went from the best shape of my life (like late 2012), to hanging in there with some major stressors, to some injuries, to not really caring, resulting in 22 pound gain. I had been 130lbs consistently and then just over the past 2.5 years, crept up to now, 152, which I've been sitting at for almost a year now (yikes!). I went from doing Beachbody workouts, being a Beachbody coach, to teaching Turbokick classes, to teaching Piyo classes, to trying out boutique workouts (Solidcore, Orange Theory); trying different nutrition stuff-- Whole 30, no sugar, some carbs, lower carbs, you name it... and over the past 5 months, just barely making it to the gym to get on the elliptical. I learned how to swim, in the hopes of doing a triathlon next year, but I'm finding myself having a difficult time to just do basic, everyday things (eat right, eat at all, and not drink so much damn wine!) (By the way--- I LOVE the workouts from Beachbody--- so totally not ragging on it-- just saying I feel like I've been trying everything).

So, it's back to basics. Just get my booty into the gym for 45 minutes and just DO IT. Just choose the fruit over the chips. Eat a great salad instead of a Subway sandwich. Put down the wine and drink more water. Over the past week, I actually drank WAAAY more water than usual because I was determined, and the wine consumption for sure went down by half. I know I can do this. I'm committed and I'm doing it.

Let's do this, people.
