Am I the only one determined to lose this week ?

I know Thursday is Thanksgiving and I know there will be all types of temptations, but I am determined to lose weight this week regardless.

I will eat within my calories, I will go to the gym, and I will lose weight this week.

Who's with me ?

I'm with you ;) And I've been thinking about it for awhile. In order to achieve my goal by my birthday next year I must stay on track every week. Otherwise it will not happen. I think about the future reward for staying on track. It keeps me motivated

I will lose this week. We are having a small feast for just my husband and I. It will be pretty typical of our poultry dinners with an extra side, french bread, and pumpkin bread for dessert. I will likely eat over my calories that day, but it shouldn't have much effect on the week as a whole.

I can respect anyone wanting to take the week off, but it's just not for me. Enjoy your Thanksgiving :)

I won't be taking the week off, but I intend to eat what I want on Thanksgiving and enjoy every bite of it. I haven't decided yet if I'll log. I will be weighing the ingredients of the dishes I'm cooking so that I can accurately log when I'm eating the leftovers. It's just one day though. It'll be ok!

I am determined to lose this week! I have a certain pound amount left to hit for my November goal. What better time then thanksgiving to practice restraint.

I'm hoping one day of feast won't kill a whole week of conservation to where I gain weight... However, I am holding myself accountable for every morsel I eat and as such will log the glorious monstrosity that will be my Thanksgiving dinner

My loss is really slow at half pound or less even per week so I look at monthly rather than weekly. I understand though your general idea this one day in the year wouldn't derail the overall plan :)

I'd love to be with you. I'm already on my thanksgiving vacation at my families house. Travel and being away from home has already thrown EVERYTHING off for me but I'm determined to get back on track starting NOW!! I will have lost weight this week!

It's good to have some support!

I will be honest with y'all. I have a problem with portion control and over eating. I didn't just get this big because I know when to say no or when enough is enough. Me eating whatever I wanted would equal me eating half the house because I don't know when to stop.

I'd rather eat within my calories and have a loss this week. I intend to log everything on Thanksgiving and maybe if I'm really tempted I'll go over 100-300 calories something small like that. But I'd rather stay within my calories because I know from past experience for me saying it's just one day is like saying to an alcoholic it's just one drink.

the important thing is you know yourself and you know what works for YOU

i share your struggle with portion control and over eating. (fyi -i found the mfp blog on hunger scale funny to read - funny for it's truth in MY case) :)

in the end you do what works for YOU.

if one day would derail you - then don't change your eating for that day :)

I would LOVE to lose but I'm going to think realistically also. I will be spending Thanksgiving in Vegas so I'm already in trouble. Four days in a hotel oh boy! I've tried to pack healthy snacks to eat for all of the hours of walking and hunger attacks in the casino (LOL). I know to try to order the healthiest of choices off of the menu. But being in Vegas I'm going to miss having full control of cooking my own planned meals/foods. I've only been consistent with MFP for two weeks and I hate to think that I could potentially blow my progress. I love Vegas but I really want to stay on course...sigh...

It took me a looooong time to admit I had a problem with over eating. No one wants to admit I'm fat cause I eat and eat and eat.

I'm not saying I won't eat and enjoy myself on Thanksgiving but it will be within my daily calorie limit. I know the pressure from the family to overeat will be strong but I just can't let myself fall back into that. Where I'm eating because I want to eat not because I'm hungry.

I weigh myself on Wednesday so Thanksgiving being Thursday is perfect for me! I have 6 more days to work off what little bit I will be indulging in...

Very happy to say today I was down 3 lbs from last "official" weigh in last Sunday. Down 2 lbs from Monday's weight.

Had a good Thanksgiving :), stayed within my calories, and still managed to lose! Hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving too!
