Yes, most people's primary fuel is carbs. Nothing wrong with that. What percentage of carbs are you looking for, and why?1

Meats and full-fat dairy.
Green, leafy vegetables.
Fats such as butter, ghee, olive oil.

There is nothing special about the fat on your stomach - when we lose weight, we lose weight all over, and it's controlled by genetics where we store fat. We can also have allowed media give us a skewed impression about how a normal body/stomach/female stomach is supposed to look like.
Too many calories makes us gain/not lose weight. Calories is a unit of energy. Carbs are just one of the macronutrients that provide us with energy. Protein and fat also provide calories.
You may want to explain what adverse effect carbs have, if it's not just eating too much that is the problem.3 -
"Lower" means eating fewer carbs than you do currently. It doesn't mean avoiding carbs altogether. If you want to lower carbs, just eat smaller quantities of food. Fill up on veggies, which tend to have fewer carbs than bread and pasta type foods of the same quantity/amount.2

This. You can't spot reduce-as you continue to lose weight your overall body composition will chang/improve. And to do that you have to be eating at the correct calorie deficit for your weight loss goals. Macros don't really matter for weight loss, calories do.
eta: if you make your food diary public we can take a look at it and see how you're doing. Also, what are your stats-height, age and current weight/goal weight?0 -
you can pretty easily lower your carbs and increase protein by focusing on incorporating more eggs, meat, cheese, and nuts in your diet and cutting back on bread, rice, pastas or other primarily carb containing things. Personally, I prefer to just eat the same foods I always did but shift the balance of ingredients so I get more protein and less carbs. Its a pretty good strategy if you are just trying to improve the balance of macros but not really trying to go low/no carb.
Things I have done to get a little more protein and fewer carbs:
- start using eggs as the main component of breakfast. I make an egg based casserole on weekends and put it in tupperware so I can grab it, heat, and go on week day mornings with little hassle
- you can easily replace a sandwich for lunch with a salad with meat (I like tuna or chicken best, but whatever floats your boat). Alot of microwave meal options offer a pretty balanced meal if you aren't trying to go low/no carb, just stay within reason.
- mostly carb free snacks are string cheese, nuts, greek yogurt, and jerkey. I love eating totilla chips and queso as a snack, I find it really filling, obviously there are carbs there, but you can get some protein in with the queso.
- dinner, just focus on your meat and veggies as the main part, and be more restrictive with your carbs. I love doing stir frys, so I put in extra beef or shrimp, lots of veggies, and then just use a little bit of rice. Then veggies become the main filler instead of the rice, but I still get to enjoy a simple meals I really like.0
