Brand new to 'community support'. At this point in past diets, I've quit. Splurged a bit yesterday, depressed about it today. Really need/want to dump this weight. Help!

Don't feel guilty! That is not productive.just get back on program and keep calm. Try to understand what triggered your eating and avoid. Don't get depressed! Instead get out and walk or do your favorite exercise.0

Hello Maginn It's okay. It was one day - and it's finished with, you can't take it back.
Best thing to do is log yesterday's food - be honest with yourself. And do the same again today. And tomorrow. Do it for, what, 6 weeks? See how you feel, and how your weight's going.
What are your goals?
These forums are great for tough love and encouragement, so if you have queries you usually get very quick answers.0 -
Congrats for not quitting! That's a big step. You absolutely do not have to be perfect to lose weight! Here are my favorite blogs on the subject that helped me get past thinking I had to be perfect to keep going:

One day will barely make a dent. Quitting will. You've got this!
Take your mind off the food and depression of you can. I literally just read for hours on end.
If you are super worried about the wieght, work out. Go for a run, a hike, a walk, a swim. This not only helps with weight loss, but depression. By exercising you release endorphins which in general just brighten your day.
If you want a candy bar/unhealthy food, eat a little, record the calories, and tell yourself that you can do it. If you think it would be best to avoid it entirely, take a cold shower. You will be completely focused on the cold, along with getting yourself clean! I usually end warm though, because otherwise you might end up shivering all day like me.
The most important thing is not giving up. I have been wanting to, so I decided to stick my weight for the holidays so I don't get too down, but don't gain weight like I was.
Don't get too upset with yourself. Do something nice for yourself. Tell yourself you are proud for making it this far!
You got this!0
