Does anyone notice a difference just by doing PushUps?

On an average week I typically run anywhere from 8-15miles. Two weeks ago I added the 22 push ups for 22 days challenge into my routine. And at first I couldn't even do 1. I had to do it on my knees and they were extremely shaky. Now I'm knocking them out off my knees without stopping. I am really starting to feel a difference in my arms and was curious if anyone else saw a drastic difference from Incorporating pushups to their routine. I may have to continue doing pushups once the challenge is all over because so far the results are fantastic!
If you have before and after's I'd love to see

Yes. It helps me with upper body strength and I am able to hold up my weight longer.0

Push-ups help your push-ups that's for sure. When I started doing them with my regular routine I could barely do 10 standard ones. Now I can knock out 25+ at a time plus do some variations like diamond, wide arm, and clapping ones.0

Ah yes. Push-ups are great. And if you haven't been doing anything, improvement comes rapidly.
There is a reason the military has people do so many of them -- besides the fact that you don't need any equipment.0 -
Been doing around 1500-2000+ decline straight plank pushups each month for past 3 months, which has resulted in noticeable pump in upper pecs (as expected), better performance in BP/Rows and increased core strength.1

Love push ups, I'm just getting to the point where I can do a few on my toes before going to my knees. Can feel it in the arms, back, shoulders abs. Agree they are a wonderful addition to a fitness regime. Keep going!0
