Hi all! Not that new to myfitnesspal, but I'm trying to be more active as I would like to document my weight gaining journey. Not everyone is meant to be skinny or even likes it. I am 5'9", somewhere between 104-110 pounds and my goal is to maintain a weight of 140 pounds. I'm at a point in my life where I am ready to get serious about gaining some weight and keeping it on, any suggestions on supplements like apetamin or CB1, please please please share!!

I am 5'11" and weight about 106 lbs. I have smaller goals, but I eventually want to get up to 140 as well. I don't know anything about supplements for gaining weight, but simple documenting, troubleshooting issues, and weighing my food has been helping me out so much.

@Noel_57 I pray we both get to where we want to be! I always thought it was easier to lose weight than to gain it.

I don't really know of any supps that help gain weight but I would think it would be best to eat whole foods. Like if making a smoothie ADD all the high calorie goodies, peanut butter, milk(if you can eat it) etc. I was told by a trainer to make sure to add or decrease at a slow steady rate, so try adding like 250 cals or something a day and see how it works out in a month. I read a study that said all it takes is an extra 100 cals a day to gain 10 pounds a year. The slow growth is the best for your skin/body and usually sticks way better than gaining fast. Nobody wants stretch marks girl!

@Hamsibian so have you seen some results? and what do you mean exactly by "simple documenting, troubleshooting issues, and weighing my food" you mean keeping a food diary and counting calories?

Yes, I am seeing results thankfully. I have health issues that contribute to my low weight. There have been times over the years where I was able to gain, but something happens - I get sick, and my progress is gone. There are a lot of foods that my body can't handle, which makes it even more difficult. So I started tracking on MFP initially to track my nutrient/macro intake, but I saw I was underestimating how much I was eating. I bought a food scale, and it is easily one of the best investments I made. For example, I have been getting sick due to the flu shot and other mishaps. I would normally lose the weight and not gain anything for months. Now I have gained that weight back in just a couple of weeks.

I just have to try hard to avoid getting sick this winter lol.
