Body I'm not used to

Hi! My name is Jennifer. Well. I used to be a really thin girl, thanks to a drug addiction. Then. I turned into what I considered a fat girl. Ended up, I was only about 20 pounds overweight. I lost my job. Got sick with fibromialgia, and really got fat. Now, I'm just tired of being fat. I don't know what to do. Where to start. Or how to motivate myself. I only know that I'm depressed And want to change.

Hey Jennifer... sounds like a tough ride but you're in the right place. Perspective is everything, so be kind to yourself while you're about it and you'll do just fine. There seems to be a lot of support around on here too which is great. It's tough to get motivated if youre feeling down but when I have those days I tell myself Im my own project and happiness is a choice. It sounds harsh but it helps me. There are loads of different eating plans and lifestyles on here, have a read and see what resonates with you and then get stuck in. Good luck!!1

Sounds like you've got alot of trouble. I hope you're getting mental support somewhere. If you want to turn your life around you have to figure out where you want to be in say, a year, and then in 5. Start by plugging in your stats on MFP. When you've got your daily calorie goal, buy a digital scale and start weighing and measuring everything you eat and drink. Try to stay within your goal everyday. If you mess up (we all do), just start again the next day. Try to move more. If you haven't been exercising, go for a walk everyday. Gradually up the time and your speed every week. Do something you like everyday. You have to look at yourself as a self-improvement project--body and mind. You can do it. Best of luck.0
