Losing weight is a matter of burning more than you eat.
If you're fasting for religious reasons, or a medical test, then it's necessary.
But as a weight loss method, it's counterproductive.
It does not teach you healthy eating behaviours, things that you can continue the rest of your life.

Actually, extreme eating patterns (fasting, binging) cause more problems.
Just eat normally - normal foods, normal times - but a bit less than you have been, & move more than you have been.

"Losing weight is a matter of burning more than you eat." This is all there is to it period. Simple. No matter your metabolism,hormones,meds or any other excuses anyone can come up with,if you eat less calories than you burn,you will loose weight. That being said,what you do eat needs to be balanced properly through multi meals otherwise your body will hold on to its fat like a vice.
That is one of the biggest mistakes people make thinking starving and salads will work. Why punish yourselves when you can eat delicious foods and loose weight!
I suggest 45% good carbs 35% protein and 20% good fats. figure what your body burns a day doing normal activities and subtract 500 calories. That's all there is to it. No special fads,pills,fitbit or new shoes and yoga outfit required.

Solid advise. It is easier to make smaller changes (calories) than to make a big step and break leg, figuratively speaking.

Good luck, which fasting program are you using? I'm using intermittent fasting 16/8. Working so far.
