Does jogging/running help get rid of belly fat?

A calorie deficit does. Anything else just helps provide that.

If you are consuming less calories than what you need to maintain then yes, it can really help you lose belly fat.

You can be jogging / running everyday but still consuming too much calories, you won't lose any belly fat.

I can't stress this enough, calories in vs. calories out.

Only if they create a calorie deficit

    Try HITT mixed with cardio.

I.e. Sprint 30 seconds, rest 30 seconds on treadmill, then 10 minutes into it, have a steady jog and then try some HITT again. Breaks up the boring treadmill run.

But yes, as others have said, track your calories. Make sure you're in a deficit of calories (-500 of maintenance, see calculators online)

Calorie deficit. But body type might be in play, too. Whenever I lose weight my belly is the first to go. Legs, though, are tough for me.
