Logging workouts you "made up?"

Today, instead of doing the 30DS like I normally would, I just sort of did a variety of exercises instead of following a set program. I did suicides, jump squats, punches, front kicks, high knees, and push ups. A few of those aren't in MFP's database separately, so is there a general category I can use to log the whole thing?

If you feel like you really did get your heart rate up and it was a cardio exercise, try "aerobics" and there's a few different options. Just make sure you're reeeeallly honest w/ yourself on how hard you worked, it's easy to overestimate when you're doing your own thing.0

I'd probably use the general circuit training or aerobics categories.0

I do my own routine. I log mine as circuit training and - 20%. MFP over estimates my calories burned.0

Have you thought about a heart rate monitor? If you want to continue doing your own workouts, it might be a good idea. That way you could just put those workouts in with the exact info you need. I just got one and was amazed at how far off some of my workouts were off. If you're only doing it this once it's probably not worth it. But it is pretty fun in general.0

There are also entries for calisthenics - light or vigorous effort. That's what I'd put it as. Take a look at the calorie counts for all these and try to be very honest about what you feel you burned.0

There are entries in MFP database for Calisthenics light/moderate and Calisthenics vigorous. I'm a bit wary about eating back MFP reported burns as my heart rate monitor gives a burn rate that is about 55% of the MFP number.0

Thanks everyone! I'll add up the calories from the individual exercises that are there and then look at calisthenics and see which one seems more accurate.0
